Current Position Liaison Manager and Media Teacher at Wyke Sixth Form College,
Kingston-upon-Hull. Within this role I am responsible for coordinating the "public face" of Wyke to local schools in Hull and the East Riding of
Yorkshire. My marketing responsibilities include the development of the colleges online, print and mobile presence.
The liaison role is shared between teaching AS/A Level Media Studies to approximately 170 sixth form students.
Since joining the department I have established the subjects Moodle presence and ran
an overseas visit to New York. Currently I deliver units on "Foundation Portfolio",
"The Music Industry", "Contemporary Media Regulation" and "Advanced Portfolio".
Whilst I've seen education as may main focus for the last 20 years, I've also worked within the field of media production.
During my career I have produced work for MTV, BBC, Walt Disney, Virgin Media, the Millennium Dome and numerous corporate clients.
In 2006 I established IronMeister, a multimedia design and software distribution company. The product portfolio consisted of
18 titles that are marketed and sold globally.
